Nice.pk is a believer in, and a promoter of, private Pakistan–China friendship initiatives, and of the strong connections and mutual respect between two proud nations. We bring buyers in Pakistan closer to the electric bikes, makers and ideas this friendship makes possible, and we support every effort by people and businesses on both sides to trade, learn and grow together.

History

Pakistan was one of the first countries to recognise the People’s Republic of China, and the two countries established diplomatic relations on 21 May 1951. Economic ties grew from there. The Karakoram Highway, built jointly and completed in the late 1970s, links the two countries over the Khunjerab Pass. A free trade agreement was signed in 2006 and widened by a second-phase protocol in 2019. In 2013 the two governments agreed on the China–Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), launched in 2015 as a flagship of China’s Belt and Road Initiative, which brought investment in power plants, motorways and Gwadar Port.

Current initiatives

CPEC is now in its second phase. The focus moves from power and roads to industry, agriculture, information technology, mining and special economic zones, organised as five corridors: growth, livelihood, innovation, green development and openness. Work under way or under discussion includes upgrading the Main Line-1 (ML-1) railway from Karachi to Peshawar, realigning parts of the Karakoram Highway, developing Gwadar as a port and logistics hub, and new energy. China is also the main source of the parts and technology behind Pakistan’s electric bikes and scooters: many local brands assemble Chinese-designed models, supported by Pakistan’s policy for new energy vehicles.

历史

巴基斯坦是最早承认中华人民共和国的国家之一，两国于1951年5月21日正式建交。此后，两国经济联系不断加深。两国共同修建的喀喇昆仑公路于20世纪70年代末建成，经红其拉甫山口连接两国。2006年双方签署自由贸易协定，2019年签署第二阶段议定书，进一步扩大合作。2013年，两国政府就中巴经济走廊（CPEC）达成共识；2015年，中巴经济走廊作为“一带一路”倡议的旗舰项目正式启动，为电站、高速公路和瓜达尔港带来了投资。

当前合作

中巴经济走廊现已进入第二阶段，重点从电力和道路建设转向工业、农业、信息技术、矿业和经济特区，并围绕增长走廊、民生走廊、创新走廊、绿色走廊和开放走廊“五大走廊”展开。正在推进或商讨的项目包括卡拉奇至白沙瓦1号铁路干线（ML-1）升级、喀喇昆仑公路部分路段改线、将瓜达尔建设为港口和物流枢纽，以及新能源合作。中国也是巴基斯坦电动自行车和电动踏板车零部件与技术的主要来源：许多本地品牌组装中国设计的车型，并得到巴基斯坦新能源汽车政策的支持。
